The power kit under the Solidline headlamps draws its power from an 18650 lithium-ion battery, which is carried in a housing at the back of the head. The battery will be charged inside via a micro-USB cable and a charge status indicator provides information about the current status of the battery. The operation of the SH6R is intuitive via a switch on the rotating lamp head. The extremely high light output using the boost mode is supplemented by two additional dimming levels. Besides, the lamp has a Focus Control System to switch from diffusing nearby light to a focused high beam.
